Coggin Elementary

Coggin Elementary has been an educational facility since 1942 when it was constructed under the Roosevelt Administration by the Federal Works Agency.

Prior to being an elementary campus, Coggin has served as a high school and junior high for the students of Brownwood, Texas. The building still contains the original wooden lockers and doors. Building renovation took place in 2008 which allowed for most of the original bathrooms to be remodeled, a sprinkler system to be added to the building, the office to be reconfigured, new windows and doors added to most areas, and the wooden finishes to be reworked. Coggin Elementary now provides a safe and inviting atmosphere for the fourth grade students of Brownwood. It is a great place to learn!
